Hey coach, welcome back to our new blog.
Today, I'm going to be talking about the UNC Women's Soccer Camps and why they are so successful.
Over the last couple of years I've had many coaches from different sports reach out to me about starting and running sports camps as an extra revenue source for their business.
If you live in the United States then you should know that UNC run these huge soccer camps every summer.
I want to say that these soccer camps are probably one of the biggest in the United States.
HOW TO IMPLEMENT A SIMILAR UNC CAMP INTO YOUR BIZ
I'm going to talk about ways how you can implement similar types of camps into your business and I think this will be very beneficial for you.
ORGANISATION AND DETAIL IS KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL CAMP -
One thing I love about UNC is their attention to detail. For example, when you visit their website they have everything very detailed for parents who are interested in registering their...
What's up coach!
Welcome back to our blog.
Today, I'm going to be talking about how to stay ahead with your marketing with your sports coaching business in 2021.
Over the past couple of years I have:
Written emails every week
I've recorded videos every week
I've generated sales appointments with prospects every week
All these things have happened while I'm actively away from my office and not working.
For example, while I'm writing you this blog I have emails going out to coaches in my Board Room Mastermind consulting program. Also, while I'm writing this blog I have parents in my soccer coaching business who are visiting our website to register onto our program.
I automated everything within my coaching businesses because I didn't want to have to shoot videos every day or write emails every day.
I like to set things up to where I have more free time to spend with my family and especially my wife, and I want this for your business...
Hey coach, my name is Ben Nabers.
Now, if you've come across our blog for the first time I want to make sure that you subscribe to the Coaches Corner newsletter that I send out every week for sports coaches just like you that want to start and grow their own private sports training business.
If you would like to subscribe to the Coaches Corner newsletter you can simply scroll down to the bottom of this page, and type in your name and email address (It'll take you less than 5 minutes).
I also have a program called The Start Up Program which is ideal for you if you are just starting your business, and you have anywhere between 0 to 20 clients. This is an incredible program for you if you're just starting and you want to build the right foundations for your sports training business.
In The Start Up Program I go through everything that you will need to know to start, grow and scale your sports training business.
In today's blog I'm going to cut straight into it because I know a lot of sports coaches have been looking to tweak their programs and they want to either add a new program or they want to make changes with an existing program that they currently offer to their clients.
I'm going to show you three simple ways to do this so you can offer the right type of program to your clients.
Now, before I fully go into these three points I need to tell you something and this is a
big mistake I used to make when I would create new programs in my business.
I would introduce a brand new program into my business without even telling my clients and if I didn't tell my clients then anytime I introduced a new type of program, it became a complete surprise to them and in most cases it wasn't something that they wanted. It was something I wanted.
I want you to remember that there's a big difference between you just creating something and your clients wanting something.
I see this...
If you're reading this blog I'm assuming you're a basketball trainer and you want to learn how to start and grow your own basketball training business from scratch?
If that's you, I want you to keep reading..
I'm going to dive into the nitty-gritty details so it might be a good idea if you get a pen and a piece of paper to make notes.
If you have any questions for me about starting up a basketball training business you can schedule a 15-min consultation call with me here.
If you're brand new and you haven't started training any players yet then this blog is for you and again it's very important that you do this step by step.
Let's say right now that you are a high school basketball coach and you want to branch off and do your own thing.
If that's you, I want you to focus on getting customers and this is where a lot of basketball coaches get this backwards.
Most basketball coaches will try to create this big brand and spend hours and hours on building a crazy...
Hey what's up coach!
Welcome back to our blog.
Today, on this blog I'm going to be reviewing an email that I sent out to the coaches on our email newsletter.
If you aren't yet subscribed to the "Coaches Corner" email newsletter list you can scroll down to the bottom of this page and subscribe to it for FREE with simply your name and email address.
Over the last five years I have been sending emails to coaches who are subscribed to our email list and today I want to review to you one email that was sent out about a referral story that happened to me a long time ago.
I think this story will be very valuable to you and to your business.
In 2010, I was just starting out with my business. I was on the hunt for new clients.
Every weekend I would go out to the soccer fields near where I lived and talk to parents.
I broke out of my comfort zone and by doing this every weekend I managed to gather as many contacts I could to call back on...
I want to specifically talk to you if you're a college-athlete.
Have you ever wondered how much money your college coach makes per camp they run?
Maybe while you're reading this your college coach is stacking lots of cash right now by running a camp at your school.
I don't want you to take this personally because trust me I was in your shoes before.
I remember running these HUGE camps during the summer for my college coach.
He was really smart, he'd hire his own student-athletes to run these camps every summer and essentially pay them a very small amount per hour while he profited all the rest!
Before COVID and over the last 20 years, the biggest colleges and universities in the United States have all operated this way, they'll all run these massive camps with hundreds of kids in every sport imaginable.
Most of the coaches use their student-athletes to run the camps and pay them very little in exchange. These coaches in some cases would charge...
